Book Kits are available for member librarians and media specialists to check out for book discussion groups and library reading groups. The sets are typically checked out for 4-6 weeks.

The NoveList Plus online database provides a number of book group discussion guides. NoveList Plus also provides many other resources for readers. Perhaps you’re looking for a book in a specific genre, or maybe you just need to know the next book in your favorite mystery series. If so, NoveList Plus is the solution for you. Using NoveList Plus, you can search among hundreds of thousands of popular fiction and readable nonfiction titles, and also retrieve author read-alikes, book lists, and more.

Book Club Kits Rules for Use
These kits can be checked out by the librarians of Nebraska libraries and media centers.
Circulation times are flexible and will be based upon availability. There is no standard check out timefor book club kits.

Omaha Public Library (OPL) carries sets of titles written for kids and teens, with 20 copies of the same title in each set. Bags are available to teachers, homeschoolers, and other groups to use in their book-related programs. Currently, we have over 175 youth kits available. As with any book, we recommend adults read the book before they use it to determine if it is appropriate for their needs.
Specific titles are reserved
Bags are checked out for a six week period.
The borrower may renew the bag for an additional checkout period if there are no requests for it from another patron.
No grace period for late bags.
A charge of $1 will be assessed for each day the bag is late with a maximum fine of $5.
Bags may be returned at any Library location.
If you have decided not to use a bag you have reserved, please cancel your reservation.
